I was an award presenter at the Youth At Risk’s 17th Annual Benefit Dinner. This is a not-for profit organization committed to reducing the at-risk behavior of troubled youth. They work in collaboration with parents, volunteers, and youth-serving professionals to deliver innovative and effective programs directed at young people. YAR empowers participants to lead extraordinary and fulfilled lives that honor the human spirit. Since 1985, they have developed programs that have had an impact on the at-risk youth, their families, and the professionals who participate in them.

This is an elementary school (K-5) which was adopted by the group of lawyers, 13 years ago, to provide mentoring and other enrichment programs. I had an incredible time teaching the childeren how to tap, about the Miss America Program and Good Decision Making Skills! Thank you, Calista, for arranging these appearances!

We had a movie night with the young ladies who are mentored through Y.E.S. I had a great time with all the girls and having the opportunity to speak to them and share a quite thrilling movie with them. Thank you girls for a great time!
